Humans is a British - American science fiction - television series from the year 2015, Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley was developed. It is based on the Swedish series Real Humans . In Humans , it is in an alternative present to human-like androids that a consciousness develop.

The husband Joe Hawkins, challenged by children and the household, buys a "synth" without consulting his wife when she is away from home for work several times. Following the announcement by Humans in April 2014, originally planned as a joint project between Channel 4 and Microsoft's Xbox Entertainment Studios ( Xbox ES ) , filming began in autumn 2014. The first episode was seen by around 6 million viewers when it first aired and is Channel 4's most successful series in 20 years with that 18  percent market share in the UK.
