Letitia Michelle Wright (born October 31, 1993 in Georgetown ) is a Guyanese - British actress .

life and career

Letitia Wright was born in the Guyanese capital, Georgetown, but moved to London with her parents at the age of 7 . She has been an actress since 2011 and initially appeared primarily in British TV productions. She attracted attention in 2012 for her portrayal of Aisha in My Brother the Devil . Thanks to this role she was included in Screen International magazine's Stars of Tomorrow .

In 2015 Wright took on a supporting role in the film Urban Hymn . She also took on television roles in Cucumber and Doctor Who . In 2016 she starred as Renie in the second season of Humans . In 2017 she starred in an episode of the science fiction series Black Mirror . For her portrayal, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a miniseries or television film at the 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards . The MCU film Black Panther appeared for the first time in 2018 , in which she played the role of Shuri . She also cast supporting roles in The Commuter and Ready Player One and was seen again as Shuri in Avengers: Infinity War , as well as in Avengers: Endgame .
