The FFS Film & TV sync GmbH is a German synchronous company with headquarters in Berlin and Munich .
history
The company was founded in 1971 by Michael Haacke and Dieter Wahl. Today it is managed by the managing director Rainer Ludwig alone after Michael Haacke left at the end of 2018.
Film- & Fernseh-Synchron takes on the synchronization of feature films, television series, computer games and television commercials. She also carries out post-production work .
Seven recording studios can be found in Berlin and four more are located in Munich . There are still three mixing studios in Munich. The FFS founded in 2006 with the Splendid Synchron from Cologne FFS Cologne Film & TV sync GmbH, based in Cologne.
In its 40-year history, Film- & Fernseh-Synchron has produced around 7,000 German-language film versions and television series. The most successful dubbed film productions include all the films in the Harry Potter film series , the Lord of the Rings trilogy , the Pirates of the Caribbean film series , the Toy Story film series , Alice in Wonderland , Finding Nemo , Inception , 2012 , the films in The Chronicles of Narnia , Above, and the films in the Twilight film series . In the field of television series, for example, the company was responsible for the dubbed versions of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn , CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators , Dr. House , Drawn Together , Disney's Gummy Bear Gang , Hannah Montana , South Park, and Our Little Farm (2004 miniseries).
Partners include Walt Disney Pictures , Warner Brothers , Universal Pictures , Sony Pictures , Paramount Pictures , Concorde Filmverleih , Tobis Film , Canal + , Constantin Film , DreamWorks SKG , 20th Century Fox , Universum Film GmbH , RTL Group , Arte , ARD and ZDF .
Film & TV dubbing is a member of the dubbing association “Die Gilde”.
