However, international series and documentaries that have not yet been seen in Germany are announced, all without an FSK cut . The series episodes are repeated very often. Repetitions of old and new RTL or VOX programs are also shown. The station wants to target the male audience more strongly with crime series from home and abroad.

RTL Crime is also available for a fee in Vodafone's IPTV offering, as is Telekom Entertain . Since September 1, 2011 there has also been a Dutch version of RTL Crime in the Netherlands.
The HD version RTL Crime HD has also been broadcast on Unitymedia since May 15, 2012 . From September 25, 2014 to July 16, 2018, RTL Crime could be received in HD on Sky Deutschland in the entertainment package. For many series, the station also offers the original English sound for the first time.
On October 1, 2015, the RTL Group announced that RTL Crime will be relaunched and redesigned on November 12, 2015. At the same time, a new station logo was introduced.
