RTL International was a German-language pay TV broadcaster of the RTL Group and targeted German-speaking viewers in Israel , southern Africa , Australia , Georgia , Canada and the USA . Selected programs from the RTL Group's German television stations were shown. In southern Africa and Israel, RTL International replaced the previous RTL Television service and also broadcast for the first time in Australia, Georgia, Canada and the USA . RTL International also broadcast in HD quality .

In February 2017, the RTL Group announced that broadcasting would be suspended again on May 31, 2017. The reason for this was the low number of subscribers.
