Juan Cristobal Tapia de Veer (* 1973 ) also Cristo is a Chilean film music producer and multi-instrumentalist from Montreal , Canada . He was recognized by the Royal Television Society for his contribution to the British television series Utopia in 2013 .

Life

De Veer was born during the 1973 coup in Chile , on which his parents fled to Paris with him . Although his father stayed there, his mother went back with him during the 1980s . Due to the persistent dictatorship of Pinochet , the family moved again, in Québec they settled as political refugees . In the local conservatory , the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Québec, de Veer obtained a Master of Arts in classical music with a specialization in percussion .
