action

Freya, who, unlike her sister Ravenna, has no magical powers, expects a child from the man she loves and who, despite his family, wants to confess to her and be with her. However, when he betrays her and kills her newborn daughter, her ice-making skills awaken in her desperation and anger, and she kills him. She flees her sister's kingdom, erects a winter palace in the north and vows to drive love from her country. She has the parents of young children killed and trains these children to be their huntsmen, an army of deadly and obedient warriors. Among them are the children Eric and Sara, who fall in love as teenagers; as this goes against Freya's principles, they hide their relationship and want to leave the huntsmen. However, Freya knows about it and after a fight with her subordinates in the palace courtyard separates them from one another by a wall of ice. Through the ice, Eric sees Sara being murdered. He tries unsuccessfully to break through the ice wall before he is overwhelmed by the other Huntsmen and thrown into a river.

Seven years later, after Ravenna was defeated by Eric and Snow White ( see Part 1 ), Eric no longer embarks on adventures. However, he receives an order from Snow White to find Ravenna's mirror , which was supposed to be brought to the holy place , the transport of which is lost. When he realizes that Freya could possibly be behind the robbery (her owl is watching him), he agrees and is henceforth accompanied by two dwarfs.

In a tavern the three are tracked down by other Huntsmen and attacked. They get help from a stranger who turns out to be Sara after the victorious fight. Sara is hostile towards Eric because he is said to have fled the castle courtyard seven years ago without fighting for her or freeing her from the dungeon in which she has spent the last few years. It turns out that Freya created false images in the ice wall, which imposed her will on those affected. Sara joins the group, as do two dwarf women. The group finds the mirror in a goblin camp and is attacked by a goblin. While the dwarves bring the mirror to safety, Eric can defeat the goblin. Against an advancing gang of goblins the chances are almost hopeless, but Sara can start a fire and scare away the remaining goblins. Even before the group can make their way to the holy place , Freya appears with a force. Sara reveals herself as a spy who leaves for the palace with Freya and the mirror.

In the palace, Freya interrogates the mirror, which brings her sister Ravenna to life after locking her soul in the mirror. Eric enters the palace, but is caught by the Huntsmen and brought in front of Freya and Ravenna. Sara realizes that rule by the two sisters would only bring bad luck, and turns against them, as do the Huntsmen. Ravenna brutally repulses the attack, and Freya pulls up a wall of ice so that Ravenna cannot kill any more of her huntsmen, whom she also calls her children. Ravenna reveals that she was behind the killing of Freya's child: after asking her magical mirror who was the most beautiful in the whole country, the latter replied that Freya's unborn daughter would be more beautiful than her. A fight breaks out between the sisters, with the ice wall breaking again and Freya being seriously injured. With the last of his strength, Freya paves the way for Eric, who fights fiercely against Ravenna, which now has a clear path to the magical mirror and destroys it with an ax, which means Ravenna's death. Freya succumbs to her injuries, smiling at Eric and Sara, who have found each other again.
