Rupert Miles Sanders (born March 16, 1971 in London ) is a British commercial , short film and feature film director who works in Los Angeles .

Life

Rupert Sanders is the eldest son of Michael and Thalia. His mother owned in London's Fulham a business for dollhouses , his father was an ophthalmologist . Successful work on the commercials allowed Sanders to move to Los Angeles . In the mid-1990s he met the model Liberty Ross (* 1978). She is the sister of his best friend, Oscar winner Atticus Ross . They married in 2005 and have two children, Skyla and Tennyson. In 2013, Ross filed for divorce after Sanders previously had an affair with Kristen Stewart .

Sanders graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a degree in graphic design . Initially, he directed commercials on television for well-known companies such as Nike , Adidas , Xbox and Guinness , among others . His commercial for Halo 3: ODST won two Golden Lions at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival . His first feature film Snow White and the Huntsman was shown in German cinemas on May 31, 2012.
