Alexandra Roach

Alexandra Elizabeth Roach (born August 23, 1987 in Ammanford , Wales ) is a British actress .

Life

Alexandra Roach is the daughter of Jeff Roach, a former police officer who now works for the Welsh Rugby Union. Roach's mother has now retired. Roach has a brother and a sister. She is fluent in Welsh . Before and during her student days, Roach played leading roles in plays and was seen in a number of Welsh television productions. Roach got her first TV role at the age of eleven. She played a supporting role in a soap opera . At the age of 15, Roach won the Children in Entertainment Award for Best Child Actress. Roach completed her acting studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2010. After graduating, Roach first took on a role in the three-person play "The Door Never Closes" at the Almeida Theater in London .

This was followed by a few supporting roles in various television series such as Being Human , Candy Cabs and New Tricks - Die Krimispezialisten . In 2011 she took on the role of young Margaret Thatcher in the movie Die Eiserne Lady . Roach is also known for her portrayal of the girlfriend and wife of Paul Potts Julz Cooper in the movie One Chance - once in a lifetime , as well as Becky in the television series Utopia .
