action

Bruce Garrett was a salsa champion when he was a teenager . Bruce gave up dancing after being brutally bullied by older boys.

Today he works as an engineer . When he finds out that his new boss, Julia, is passionate about dancing salsa, he decides that the only way to win her over is to learn the art of dance again. He seeks out his old teacher, Ron, who forces him to face the reasons why he doesn't dance at all anymore. He struggles with low self-esteem as well as a bullying colleague and rival Drew who is constantly dominating Julia. With the help of his salsa classmates, his teacher and his former dance partner, his sister Sam, Bruce takes the courage to relearn all of his “rusty” dance steps. When he can do salsa again, his friends persuade him to take part in the local nightclub's salsa dance competition. He should invite Julia to become his dance partner. But when he goes to her, he sees the half-naked Drew behind her. So he leaves before asking her. Meanwhile, Julia discovers what Drew is up to and throws him out. Julia follows Bruce into the nightclub, where he and Sam are about to make it into the final round of the competition. When he notices that Julia has followed him to the club, he is delighted and finally takes the courage to ask her to dance. They dance the final round of the competition, which Bruce loses but gets the real self back and eventually wins Julia's heart too.
