Daniel Pemberton

Daniel Pemberton (born November 3, 1977 ) is a British film composer and musician .

life and career

Pemberton has been working as a composer since the 1990s, initially composing music for British television series and television documentaries. In 2010 he was recognized for his work on the television series Desperate Romantics at the Ivor Novello Awards in the category Best Television Soundtrack .

In 2011 he made his feature film debut with the music for the horror film The Awakening . This soundtrack caught the interest of Ridley Scott , who then hired him for his next film The Counselor . Pemberton also composed the music for Scott's television film The Vatican . In 2014 Pemberton also composed the music for the film Cuban Fury - Real Men Dance .

Pemberton was named Discovery Of The Year at the World Soundtrack Academy's 2014 World Soundtrack Awards for his scores for The Counselor and Cuban Fury .

In 2015, he worked on Guy Ritchie's agent comedy, codenamed UNCLE, and Danny Boyle's biopic Steve Jobs .

In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
