Cedric Gabriel Nicolas-Troyan (born March 9, 1969 in Talence , Gironde , France ) is a French specialist in visual effects and film director.

Life

Nicolas-Troyan grew up in the town of Talence in southwest France. His biggest success so far was the film Snow White and the Huntsman , for which he was hired as head of visual effects and for which he received an Oscar nomination in 2013 for the category Best Visual Effects . In addition, he was also the director of the second unit of this 2012 film .

He is also active as a director and screenwriter. In 2011 he made his debut in this regard with the short film Carrot Vs Ninja . His first feature film followed in 2016 with the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman . His brother Gael Nicolas also works in the film business as a sound editor.
