Chicago Cab (Alternate Title : Hellcab ) is an American comedy film from 1998 . Directed by Mary Cybulski and John Tintori , who also worked as film editors; Will Kern wrote the script based on his own play.
action
The film shows a day in the life of a Chicago taxi driver. It has about 30 passengers; first religious people who want to convert him. Among the passengers is a pregnant woman whom he is driving to a hospital. The taxi driver observes a drug deal. He tells the last passenger the story of a raped woman for whom he used to travel.
Reviews
Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times on October 2, 1998 that the film lacked dramaturgical highlights. Dillon provides little background knowledge about the character being played.

The world premiere took place on March 14, 1998 at the South by Southwest Film Festival , which was followed on April 19, 1998 by the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival . On October 2, 1998, the film was released in selected US cinemas, grossing around 5,000 US dollars .
