April Grace (born May 12, 1962 in Lakeland , Florida ) is an American actress .

biography

Grace made her debut on an episode of the 1990 television series China Beach . From 1990 to 1992, she played the role of technician Hubbell in the television series Starship Enterprise: The Next Century . In the comedy Angie (1994) she appeared on the side of Geena Davis , in the thriller Safe (1995) she played alongside Julianne Moore . In the comedy Life and Love in LA (1998) she played one of the bigger roles alongside Angelina Jolie , Dennis Quaid , Gena Rowlands , Sean Connery and Gillian Anderson . In the film drama Waterproof (1999) she took on one of the leading roles alongside Burt Reynolds .

In Magnolia (1999), Grace starred alongside Julianne Moore , Tom Cruise , Jason Robards and Alfred Molina . For this role she won the Florida Film Critics Circle Award as a member of the acting ensemble and was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award . From 2003 to 2004 she played the role of police officer Toni Williams in the television series The Heavenly Joan . She played the role of Mae Simmons in the thriller Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) with Sean Penn and Naomi Watts . Since then she has appeared in front of everyone in various television series.
