Alfredo "Alfred" Molina (born May 24, 1953 in London , England ) is a British actor . He is the son of a Spaniard and an Italian and was married to actress Jill Gascoine until their death in April 2020 .

Life

After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Molina first played theater. He has appeared in the plays The Night of the Iguana by Tennessee Williams and The Favor of the Hour by David Mamet, among others. He made his first film appearance in 1981 in the opening sequence of the Indiana Jones film Raiders of the Lost Ark in the role of the jungle guide Satipo .
