The Man of 1000 Miracles (Original title: The Miracle Maker ; Russ .: Чудотворец) is a puppet and cartoon film from 2000 by the directors Derek W. Hayes and Stanislav Sokolov .

action

The life story of the Jewish carpenter Jesus of Nazareth is told from the perspective of little Tamar, the daughter of the synagogue ruler Jairus. She met Jesus while he was preaching in Galilee and later in Jerusalem, and met with rejection from priests and scribes. Jesus preaches to the people of the coming Kingdom of God and heals many sick. He can walk over the water and miraculously enables the fisherman Simon Peter's nets to be filled with numerous fish. Therefore, he is celebrated by the people as a man who can perform 1000 miracles .

In Jerusalem Jesus is handed over to the Jewish priests by one of his followers, Judas. These hand over Jesus as the alleged blasphemer to the governor Pontius Pilate , who condemns Jesus to death on the cross at the urging of the crowd. The sentence is carried out. Three days later , Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven .
