Tim McInnerny (born September 18, 1956 in Stockport , Cheshire , England ) is a British actor .

Live and act

McInnerny was born in Stockport to Mary Joan and William Ronald McInnerny. He grew up in the Stockporter district of Cheadle Hulme and in Stroud , Gloucestershire and later attended college in Oxford .

As an actor, he is best known for portraying dramatic characters. He played a socialist revolutionary in the drama series On the Edge of Darkness . He was also featured in many other television series, such as Sherlock Holmes , Blackadder , In the Visor of MI5 and Doctor Who . In 1990 he appeared in the West End on the Rocky Horror Show .

He has also played roles in numerous films. Notable among them are Erik the Viking , 101 Dalmatians , Notting Hill and Severance . He also made appearances in music videos such as This Woman's Work by Kate Bush or Uptown Girl by Westlife . In addition, McInnerny works as an actor in the theater and joined in 2007 a. a. in the Shakespeare play Othello at the Globe Theater in London .
