reception

In her review of the television series in the FAZ , Ursula Scheer asks whether anyone on television would have been interested in Mr. Strike if the masquerade of the literary megastar hadn't been revealed? "Absolutely. The station's drama department had already considered the first Strike novel as a potential film material before it was exposed. Rightly so. ”She criticizes the many clichés (“ especially with regard to the partner dynamics in the detective agency, which look exactly as one would expect ”), but this is not only forgiven benevolently, but is amused,“ because it is embedded in a very sophisticated crime story that stretches from the gutter to the habitats of the top ten thousand London milieus ”.

Home video publishing

In German-speaking countries, the series is being published by Warner Bros. Home Video . The first box, which contains the actual first season of seven episodes, was released on December 6, 2018.
