James Frain

James Frain (2010)

James Frain (born March 14, 1968 in Leeds , United Kingdom ) is a British film and stage actor .

Life

Frain was born in Leeds, the eldest of eight children to a broker and teacher , but spent his youth in Essex . He graduated from the University of East Anglia and then attended the Central School of Speech and Drama in London .

He has been married to the director Marta Cunningham since 2004. They have two children together.

In 1993 he was discovered by Richard Attenborough , who engaged Frain for his film Shadowlands . Since that time, film and television offers have not stopped.

Parallel to his work in front of the camera, Frain also appears on stage for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Court Theater .
