Dougray Scott (born November 25, 1965 in Glenrothes , Fife , Scotland ) is a British actor .
Life
Scott has appeared as an actor in film and television since 1990. He had his biggest roles so far as the villain in Mission: Impossible II (2000) and with the lead role in Enigma - The Secret (2001). In September 2004 the rumor surfaced that he was being discussed as the successor to Pierce Brosnan in the role of James Bond , who ended up being Daniel Craig .
Dougray Scott had twins, a boy and a girl, with his ex-wife Sarah Trevis, born in 1998. In 2007, Dougray Scott married the actress Claire Forlani in her parents' house in Pievebovigliana , Italy . The couple had met about a year and a half earlier through a mutual friend.
Dougray Scott was supposed to take on the role of Wolverine in the almost simultaneously realized film X-Men in 2000 . When the filming of Mission Impossible II exceeded the scheduled time frame, Scott had to give up the role, which then Hugh Jackman was given.
