Pievebovigliana

Coordinates: 43 ° 4 ′  N , 13 ° 5 ′  O Pievebovigliana ( La Pìe o La Pieve in Marchigiano (dialetto maceratese)) is a place founded in 845 and a former Italian municipality ( comune ) with about 844 inhabitants (as of 31. December 2016) in the province of Macerata in the Marche , which existed until 2016. Colle San Benedetto, Fiano, Frontillo, Isola, Roccamaia, San Giusto and San Maroto belonged to the former municipality. Pievebovgliana lies at an altitude of 439 m. The area is 27.33 km². Pievebovigliana has beenpart of the newly formed municipality of Valfornace since 2017 through a merger with the former municipality of Fiordimonte . Pievebovigliana is located about fifty kilometers from Macerata in the Monti Sibillini National Park and belongs to the Comunità montana di Camerino . On the northern edge of the municipality is the south bank of Lake Polverina and the course of the Chienti river.
