Derwin Kitchen (born May 14, 1986 in Jacksonville ) is an American basketball player and combo guard .

Career

Derwin Kitchen began his basketball career at St. John's University, which he attended from 2006 to 2007. After a year at Iowa Western, he moved to Florida State University in 2008 .

In 2011 Kitchen took part in the NBA Draft, but was not selected by any team and as a result moved to Israel to Maccabi Rishon . In his first professional season he reached an average of 14.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals per encounter. He was a participant in the Israeli All Star Games in 2012. In 2012 Kitchen was briefly under contract with the Greek association Panathinaikos Athens before he loaned it to KK Cedevita in December . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he moved to Hapoel Jerusalem .
