Sally Field (* 6. November 1946 in Pasadena , California , as Sally Margaret Field ) is an American actress , director and two-time Oscar - triple Emmy - and two-time Golden Globe -Preisträgerin.

Life

Sally Field is the daughter of actress Margaret Field . She started working for television in the mid-1960s. She had her breakthrough in cinema at the end of the 1970s. She is now one of the most highly decorated actresses in the USA. She won two Oscars (one for lead roles), two Golden Globes , three times the Emmy Award and the Best Actor Award of the Film Festival of Cannes 1979 . In total, she was nominated eight times for a Golden Globe. From 2006 to 2011 she played the role of mother of five, Nora Walker, in the US series Brothers & Sisters . For this role she received an Emmy Award in September 2007 . During her acceptance speech, she made an anti-war statement, which was censored and not broadcast by the US television channel Fox .

In 1968 Sally Field married Steven Craig; the two sons Peter (* 1969) and Eli Craig (* 1972) work as scriptwriters and directors. After the divorce in 1975, Field made headlines primarily with a multi-year romance with fellow actor Burt Reynolds . Films during this time, in which both stood together in front of the camera, emphasized this again and again. So in 1977 in the first part of Ein auskochtes Schlitzohr and 1980 in the second part, 1978 in Nobody is perfect and in Um Kopf und Kragen . In 1984 Field married producer Alan Greisman. From this marriage a son was born. Sally Field divorced Greisman in 1993.

In 2013 Field was elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
