Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries

The Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Television Movie or Mini-Series (Original Name: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie ) is one of the awards given annually in the United States by the Screen Actors Guild , a trade union by actors. It is aimed at actresses, the excellent performance in a major or minor role in a TV movie or miniseries have produced. The category was launched in 1995. The winners will be determined in a secret ballot by the full members of the union.

History and records

Over the past 21 years, the Screen Actors Guild has presented a total of 21 awards for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Mini-Series to 19 different actresses. The first to win was Joanne Woodward , who won the 1995 Screen Actors Guild Awards for her role as Maggie Moran in Maggie, Maggie . The final winner so far was Nicole Kidman , who was honored for her role as Celeste Wright in Big Little Lies at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2018 .
