Elizabeth Franz

Elizabeth Franz (* 18th June 1941 in Akron , Ohio as Elizabeth Frankovich ) is an American actress .

life and work

Elizabeth Franz received an Obie Award in 1980 for her role in Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You . In 1999 she received a Tony Award in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in The Death of a Salesman . She was also nominated for a Tony Award in 1983 and 2002 for her roles in Brighton Beach Memoirs and Morning's at Seven . In 2005 she won a Best Actress Award at the NYC Home Film Festival for her role in the short film The Reader .

Until his death in 1990, Franz was married to the actor Ed Binns .
