The Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor in a Television Series - Drama (Original Name: Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series ) is one of the awards given annually in the United States by the Screen Actors Guild , a union of actors , be awarded. It is aimed at actors excellent performance in a major - or supporting role in a drama television series have provided. The category was launched in 1995.
