Phylicia Rashād
Phylicia Rashād (born June 19, 1948 in Houston , Texas , as Phylicia Ayers-Allen ) is an American actress and singer . In the German-speaking world, she was best known for her role as Claire Olivia Huxtable in the US sitcom Die Bill Cosby Show .

Under the name Phylicia Allen, she brought out the album Josephine Superstar on Neil Bogart 's Casablanca Records label in 1978 , a tribute album for Josephine Baker . On this album she covered, among other things, the hit by Josephine Baker J'ai deux amours (Two Loves Have I) in the disco sound of the late 1970s.
Private
From 1972 to 1975 she was married to William Lancelot Bowles Jr. In 1973, their son Billy Bowles was born. In 1978 Rashād married Victor Willis , a member of the then successful music group The Village People (1977). Because of Willis' drug problems, the marriage was divorced in 1980. From 1985 to 2001 she was married to Ahmad Rashād (played Larry Braddock in " Space Jam "), who proposed marriage to her live on television during halftime of a football game. 1986 daughter Condola Phylea Rashād was born.
