Cosby is an American sitcom that was produced and broadcast from 1996 to 2000 in 95 episodes in four seasons by the broadcaster CBS.

In Germany, the series ran for the first time in 2001 on VOX . It later ran on RTL II and Super RTL, among others .

Hilton Lucas loses his job after 30 years of good work. His wife Ruth is less pleased about this, not because Hilton lost his job, but for the simple reason that he is really annoying because he doesn't know what to do with his time. Instead, it sticks its nose in all over the place, causing great damage. Also part of the party are daughter Erica, who no longer lives at home, Ruth's friend Pauline, and the Lucas' neighbor named Griffin, who loves Erica.

Due to Madeline Kahn's death (1999), there was a special broadcast about goodbye.

Series universe

In the tenth episode of the second season, the characters Ray ( Ray Romano ) and Frank Barone ( Peter Boyle ) from the series Everyone loves Raymond a guest appearance and in the ninth episode of the third season Kevin James is as Doug Heffernan from the series King of Queens to see. Bill Cosby also appears in the Becker series as Hilton Lucas (season 1, episode 20). Through further crossovers as part of the series mentioned, Cosby is part of a common series universe of Everyone loves Raymond , Becker , Love must be crazy , The Nanny , King of Queens and Sara's exciting country life and the feature film This Is Spinal Tap .
