The Cleveland Show is an American animated series by Seth MacFarlane that first aired on September 27, 2009 on Fox . The spin-off of Family Guy was hired by Fox after four seasons and 88 episodes in May, 2013. The German-language first broadcast took place on August 7, 2016 on Comedy Central .

action

In this spin-off from the Family Guy series, the newly divorced Cleveland Brown and his son Cleveland Junior move back to his hometown in Stoolbend, Virginia. There he happens to meet his old flame Donna Tubbs, who also lives in separation and raises her two children Roberta and Rallo alone. They find that they are still in love, move in together and get married.

synchronization

In June 2020, original speaker Mike Henry announced that he would be giving up speaking for Cleveland. Colored figures, in his opinion, should only be spoken of by colored people.

The German dubbing was done by Studio Hamburg Synchron . The dialogue book was written by Jesse Grimm , Claudia Heuer and Tammo Kaulbarsch ; the latter also directed the dialogue together with Matthias Klimsa. For the synchronization of the series, only a few speakers from the mother series were obliged to lend their characters their voices again, which is why the character Cleveland is dubbed in the series by Achim Buch.
