Achim Buch (born 1963 in Rheinbach ) is a German television and stage actor and voice actor .

Career stages

After graduating from high school in Euskirchen in 1982, he played at the Theater der Jugend in Bonn. From 1984 to 1988 he completed his acting training at the Folkwang School in Essen, after which he was a member of the ensemble of the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden, finally from 1992 three seasons at the Nationaltheater Mannheim , then two seasons at the Schauspiel Frankfurt . From 1997 to 2000 he was a member of the Thalia Theater ensemble in Hamburg, after which he was a member of the Freiburger Schauspiel for five years . Since 2005 he has been engaged at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. In 2013 Achim Buch dubbed Zbigniew Zamachowski as Hersch Fridman in the German-Polish-French co-production Lauf Jungelauf . In 2016 he was hired for the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , in which he speaks Jiang Wen as Baze Malbus.

In addition to his work in radio , film and television , Buch also made guest appearances at the Wiener Festwochen , the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen and the Salzburg Festival , at the State Theaters in Stuttgart and Dresden , at the Residenztheater in Munich , at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin and at the Bochum and Düsseldorf theaters .

He lives in Hamburg.
