The man who loved Yngve (original title: Mannen som elsket Yngve ) is a Norwegian feature film from 2008. 2011 came a sequel with the title I travel to the cinema alone . Another part from 2012 (original title Kompani Orheim ) has not yet been performed in Germany.

content

The film is set in Stavanger, Norway in 1989 . The 17-year-old Jarle is one of the most popular boys in his class, and the singer of a punk band called ' Mathias Rust Band' is especially popular with girls . His life changes the day Yngve joins class. Jarle is fascinated by the handsome young man and finally has to admit that he has fallen in love with Yngve. Nothing is like it was anymore. Jarle changes his habits in a troubled time when the Berlin Wall falls and all of Europe is going through political upheavals. Difficult times are dawning for Jarle too: the search for one's own identity, one's own self, has only just begun.

The audio description of the film produced by NDR for television broadcasts and spoken by Mareike Carrière was nominated for the German Audio Film Award in 2010 .
