Sven Nordin

Sven Audun Nordin (born February 6, 1957 in Grefsen , Oslo , Norway ) is a Norwegian actor .

Life

Sven Nordin grew up in the Grefsen district of Oslo , where he attended the local grammar school and successfully graduated from high school in 1976. He then attended the Romerike Folkehøgskole, worked as an extra at the Nationaltheatret and was finally admitted in 1979 to study acting at the Statens teaterhøgskole. He finally got his first permanent theater engagement in 1981 at Oslo Nye Teater .

Nordin celebrated great national success in the sitcom Mot i brøstet, which was broadcast from 1992 to 1997 . At the side of Nils Vogt and Arve Opsahl embodied the figure of the Nile in 142 episodes. The sitcom achieved ratings of over 800,000 viewers and is still one of the most successful Norwegian sitcoms of all time.

In 2007 Nordin was awarded the Norwegian Culture Award for Critics' Prizes.

Nordin is married to the dancer Torhild Strand. The couple have been parents to twins since 1985 and live in the Kampen district of Oslo . The actress Liv Strand Nordin is his daughter.
