The Good Cop is an American television series that premiered on Netflix on September 21, 2018 .

The idea for the series came from Andy Breckman , an American screenwriter and producer. It is a remake of the Israeli series of the same name , which was created by Erez and Tomar Aviram. On November 13, 2018, Netflix announced that the series, whose first season comprised ten episodes, would not be renewed.
