Rodrigo García Barcha (born August 24, 1959 in Bogotá , Colombia) is a television and film director and cameraman born in Colombia .

life and career

García was born on August 24, 1959 in Bogotá , Colombia, and is the son of the authors Gabriel García Márquez and Mercedes Barcha Pardo .

García has directed several independent films and some episodes of the HBO series, Six Feet Under , Carnivàle and Big Love . He currently lives in the United States .

He has also worked as a camera assistant and cameraman on films such as Gia , The Birdcage, and Great Expectations .

His film Nine Lives was nominated for the Golden Groundhog Award for "Best Underground Movie".
