Peter Kirchberger

Peter Kirchberger (born May 7, 1943 in Eutin ) is a German actor , singer , dubbing , radio play and advertising spokesman .

Life

After training at various drama schools in Hamburg , Kirchberger initially worked as a musical performer. He played the role of Elvis Presley in 450 performances of the rock 'n' roll musical Only You . He also played Johnny Kröger in Die Große Freiheit No. 7 at the Ohnsorg Theater and was the singer of the Hamburg formation “ Rudolf Rock & Die Schocker ”, which had some musical successes in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

In addition, Kirchberger has been extensively active as a voice actor since the late 1960s. He dubbed Elvis Presley in six of his feature films . He was also a regular spokesperson for leading actor Adam West in 120 episodes of the original Batman series . He also lent his voice to Adriano Celentano (in hands like velvet ), John Candy (in Uncle Buck ) and Stephen Fry (in Oscar Wilde ). As the successor to Gerd Duwner as Ernie from Sesame Street (1997–2001) , he should be known to children . Fans of the radio play series The Three Question Marks know Kirchberger as an accomplished speaker in some of the so-called "classic episodes". He was also active as a speaker in the radio play Die Hexe Schrumpeldei . Many also know Kirchberger as King Julius from many episodes of the popular Europe series Hui Buh - Das Schlossgespenst . In the cartoons about Wallace & Gromit , he is the German voice of Wallace. In the 45 classic cartoon episodes of Barbapapa (broadcast from 1974), Peter Kirchberger spoke all roles, i.e. Barbapapa, Barbamama, the seven Barbap children, as well as people and animals.

Kirchberger is also active as a dialogue book author and dubbing director.

His daughter Stephanie Kirchberger is also an actress.
