John Scurti

John Martin Scurti is an American actor .

biography

Scurti was in Northport ( New York born) and graduated from the Fordham University . He made his acting debut in 1993 in Ted Demme's film Who's the Man? A friendship developed between him and Demme as well as Denis Leary , whom he met during the filming. The collaboration with Demme continued with the films No Panic - Good hostages are rare and Beautiful Girls .

In the following years he had numerous guest appearances on television series such as Murphy Brown , Chaos City , Sex and the City , Law & Order , Ed - The Bowling Lawyer and Monk .

His breakthrough came in 2004 when Denis Leary offered him a role in his television series Rescue Me . In addition to his role, he also worked as a screenwriter for individual episodes.
