Reviews

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of March 11, 1994 that a film like this is only as good as the representations and the script - in this case both are "skillful". Denis Leary, who sometimes exaggerates as a comedian, creates an entertaining character. Judy Davis and Kevin Spacey would both have natural verbal strengths; they would develop a counterpoint in this film, which is outstanding.

“A comedy that relies on speed and sometimes successful situation comedy . But she doesn't manage to create a real arc of suspense, and the dialogues lack polished humor. In addition, the figures become mere caricatures through overdrawing.
