Agatha Christie: Little Murders / Murderous Games (French Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie ) is a French television series based on the crime novels and stories of Agatha Christie . So far, two seasons with a total of 31 episodes have been shot. The first season is called Agatha Christie: Kleine Morde and the second Agatha Christie: Murderous Games .
The first broadcast in the original took place from January 2009 on France 2 , the German-language first broadcast began in April 2017 on ONE with the second season. The first season was then broadcast from November 8, 2017.
Before the series, there was already the French miniseries Agatha Christie: Invitation to Murder with Commissioners Larosière and Lampion from the first season. The mini-series was so successful that the TV station decided to produce a series with the two police officers.

The individual episodes, each around 90 minutes long, are based on crime stories by Agatha Christie. In the first season, the cases from the books were reproduced almost identically, but the characters were exchanged. As in the miniseries "Invitation to Murder", Superintendent Larosière investigates together with the young inspector Lampion - there is a chronological incompatibility between the series and the miniseries.
The miniseries took place shortly before World War II, but the series is set in France in the early or mid-1930s. B. the episode "The House of Danger" 1936 and the episode "Ene mene muh ..." 1934. Thus the series takes place before the miniseries, but in the miniseries the first meeting of Larosière and Lampion is shown and afterwards "Rest Rude" is a nod to the plot of the miniseries, as if it played after the series.
The second season also takes place in France, but in the late 1950s. It investigates Commissioner Swan Laurence, who is assisted by his secretary Marlène Leroy and the local journalist Alice Avril. In contrast to the first season, the crime stories of Agatha Christie, which are used as models, have been heavily modified.
In October 2019 it was announced that there would be a third season with new actors or characters. In addition, the season will play in the 70s.
