19-2 is a Canadian crime television series from ICI Radio-Canada Télé (French version) and Bravo (English version). It covers the work and personal life of several patrol officers in the Canadian metropolis of Montreal . The title of the series refers to the ID of the patrol car of the two main characters, where 19 stands for the (fictional) guard and 2 for the vehicle.
Specialty
The series was produced in two versions. First one was in French, due to the multilingualism in Canada, an English adaptation of the series was later commissioned, each with different actors, but practically the same story. The French version has been on view in Canada since February 2, 2011, the English version since January 29, 2014. The latter ended with season 4, a season longer than its original. The German-language first broadcast of the English-language version of the series was broadcast on AXN from February 23, 2016 .
action
At the center of the plot is the police station 19 in Montréal, which is located in the middle of the social hotspot of the Canadian metropolis. Benoît Chartier (in the English version: Ben Chartier) is a young police officer who was transferred from the country to the big city and is now assigned Nicolai Berrof (or Nick Barron) as a partner. Berrof has just returned to work after a forced break of several months. He was involved in an incident in which a colleague was shot.
