Richard Chevolleau

Richard Chevolleau (born October 1966 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican - Canadian actor .

Life

Richard Chevolleau was born in Jamaica but grew up in Toronto . He made his first attempts at acting during his school days. After graduating from high school, he studied acting with Paul Bardier using the acting technique developed by Sanford Meisner. He also received lessons at the Maggie Bassett Studio .

From the late 1980s he played first roles in American and Canadian television series. His first role was in the series Heirs of the Curse . His continuous career on television began in the mid-1990s. Chevolleau took on several continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles. He played in several episodes of the series Soulfood , Street Time , Intelligence and in the two-part mini-series Guns - The Price of Violence . He also had an episode role in the US series Monk .

Chevolleau achieved particular fame with his role as Augur in Earth: Final Conflict , which he played in a total of 70 episodes of the series from 1997 to 2001. In 2001 he had two more guest appearances in the series, again as Augur, after he had previously left as a member of the permanent cast.

He won a Gemini Award , the Canadian equivalent of the Emmy , in 2004 for his appearance on the television series The Eleventh Hour .

Chevolleau has two daughters, Skye and Asya.
