Adrian Holmes

Adrian Holmes (born March 31, 1974 in Wales , United Kingdom ) is a Canadian actor ; his parents are from Barbados. For his role in the Canadian crime series 19-2 , he won the Canadian Television Award for Best Actor in 2017. He is also known internationally for his fixed supporting roles in series such as Continuum , Smallville and Arrow .

Early life

Holmes was born in Wrexham , North Wales , where his family emigrated from Barbados. She emigrated to Vancouver , British Columbia when Holmes was five years old. Adrian Holmes wanted to be an actor since he was a child. However, he first studied nursing at Langara University , also to reassure his mother, as she felt he needed a replacement plan should his career as an actor fail.

Career

Holmes became internationally known in particular for his television roles, e.g. B. as Basqat in Smallville , as Marcus Mitchell in True Justice , as Agent Warren in Continuum and as Frank Pike in Arrow . His best-known role is that of patrolman Nick Barron at the side of Jared Keeso in the English-language version of the cop series 19-2 , which won him the Canadian television award for best actor in 2017. But he was also involved in television films such as Supervulkan (2005). His film engagements include Red Riding Hood - Under the Wolf Moon (2011), Elysium (2013), The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and Skyscraper .
