Kazuya Nakai ( Japanese 中 井 和 哉 , Nakai Kazuya ; born November 25, 1967 in Hyōgo-ku , Kobe , Japan ) is a Japanese voice actor ( seiyū ) He works for the Aoni Production agency .
Life
Kazuya Nakai works as a voice actor and narrator. He is married and has one child. He is particularly fond of dogs as pets, but has also taken in a stray cat he named Ku-chan . Archery is one of his hobbies. Kazuya Nakai had one of his first roles in the anime After War Gundam X as Joke Sou. But he is better known for his roles as voice actor for the character of Roronoa Zoro in the series One Piece , Hijikata in Gintama , Mugen in Samurai Champloo , Date Masamune in Sengoku Basara or Ultraman Max in Ultraman Max .
Many of the characters played by Kazuya are rowdy personalities. On the other hand, he often embodies those characters who are humble and calm. In addition, many of these characters are swordsmen (Zoro, Date Masamune, Mugen, Hijikata, and Capricorn El Cid).
