Manga

The Anime - television series grew out of a collaboration between the studios feel. and Gainax and adapted the plot of the anime. Directed by Masahiko Murata , who was previously involved in series such as Gilgamesh , Naruto and Mazinkaiser . The character design was created by Chikashi Kubota and Kikuko Sadakata . The music for the episodes was produced by Norihito Sumitomo , while Hiroki Matsumoto was the artistic director .

Since October 4, 2008 the series has been broadcast weekly on the channels AT-X , BS11 Digital , Chiba TV , KBS Kyōto , Sun TV , Tokyo MX , TV Aichi , TV Kanagawa and TV Saitama .

The first 13 episodes were broadcast under the name Shikabane Hime: Aka ( 屍 姫 赫 ) and the last 12 episodes under the name Shikabane Hime: Kuro ( 屍 姫 玄 ). There was no air break between the two, so both form a season.

In the USA, the series was licensed by Funimation , which Shikabane Hime: Aka published on October 24, 2008 on its channels in the video portals YouTube , Joost and Hulu.com with English subtitles. Both parts will be released on September 14, 2010 as Corpse Princess: Part One - Aka and Corpse Princess: Part Two - Kuro on DVD.

Radio program

From November 7 and 14, 2008 to August 21 and July 10, 2009, two radio programs for Shikabane Hime ran alternately on Animate TV: Sekū-ji Aozora Hōsō Kyoku ( 世 空 寺 青 空 放送 局 ) and Kochira Dairinkan Hōsō Kyoku ( こ ち ら 大 麟 館 放送 局 ). The former will be moderated by Mika Kikuchi (spokesperson for Saki Amase) and Chise Nakamura (spokesperson for Itsuki Yamagami) and the latter by Keiji Fujiwara (spokesperson for Keisei Tagami) and Nana Akiyama (spokesperson for Makina Hoshimura).
