Barnyard (English. Barnyard ) is a computer animated film from Paramount Pictures in 2006. It was directed by Steve Oedekerk .

action

In the farmer's absence, the bull Otis and the other animals of the barnyard farm party like humans. The farmer has no knowledge of this.

One night the hen house is visited by some coyotes. The bull Ben, who is in charge of the animal management of the farm, tries to drive them away. He dies of the injuries he sustains during the fight with the coyotes. His son Otis is chosen by the farm animals as Ben's successor. He lacks both the confidence and the seriousness to run the farm. All animals promptly go overboard, neglect their work and start partying during the day, regardless of the fact that the farmer might see them doing it.

When the coyotes strike again and drag six chickens from the yard, Otis follows them to free the chickens. In the junkyard where the coyotes live, he is faced with a pack that is far superior to him. The only way he can put the coyotes to flight is that his friends from the farm have followed him and stand by him.

Since Oti's girlfriend, the cow Daisy, is pregnant, the animals hurry back to the farm. When Otis arrives at court, Daisy is already in labor and gives him a son, whom they name after Otis' father, Ben.

continuation

Since 2007 a computer-animated television series has been produced with the name Barnyard - The animal crazy farm . The voice actor for Otis is Chris Hardwick and Daisy does not appear on the series, but a cow named Abby.

"The male cow"

In reality, male cattle like bulls or oxen do not have udders as shown in this film. In Nick Magazine, director Steve Oedekerk said that it was a gag. This is not the first time cows have been portrayed in this way: In the UK , there was a milk commercial in the 1990s that featured two “male cows”.

synchronization

The dubbing company Interopa Film carried out the dubbing. Frank Schaff was responsible for the script and dubbing .
