history
There is no definite date on which The Almost was founded. On October 1, 2005, Aaron Gillespie created an account for the band on the US website Myspace , even before he had ever released a song to the public. Just three days later, Gillespie published the first demo tapes of the songs I Mostly Like to Copy Other People and They Say You Can Never Write I Told You So in a Song But Here I Go on the site .
Gillespie wrote the first songs for The Almost all while he was recording the album Define the Great Line with his then band Underoath.
In 2007 the band toured with Paramore, among others . In the same year their first album Southern Weather was released . The band released their second album No Gift to Bring after their debut album in 2008 and the EP Monster in 2009 and the following album Monster Monster . The albums were all released under the Tooth & Nail Records label .
