Clearwater is a city and also the county seat of Pinellas County in the US state of Florida with 107,685 inhabitants (as of 2010).
Clearwater is the headquarters of Scientology . The city on Tampa Bay is part of the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater ( Tampa Bay Area for short ) with around 2.8 million inhabitants.

Clearwater is located between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay and is approximately 15 km west of Tampa . Adjacent cities are Dunedin , Belleair , Belleair Beach , Largo and Safety Harbor .
climate
The climate is mild and warm, with a light wind from the sea. Statistically, it rains an average of 30% of the days in the summer months, even if only for a short time. The highest temperatures are in May to October, with up to 33 ° C. The coldest months from December to February with an average of only 12 ° C. The median annual income was $ 41,986, with 15.5% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 84.23% of the population, 8.55% spoke Spanish and 7.22% had another mother tongue.
