Kenneth City is a city in Pinellas County in the US state of Florida with 4980 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Kenneth City is directly adjacent to the cities of Pinellas Park (north) and Saint Petersburg (south). The city is about 15 km south of Clearwater and about 25 km southwest of Tampa .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 4980 inhabitants were distributed over 2191 households. The population density was 2621.1 inh / km². 80.9% of the population identified themselves as whites, 6.3% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 6.4% as Asian Americans . 3.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.5% to several ethnic groups. 12.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 35.7% of all households lived in 25.7% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 59.5% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.24 people and the average family size was 2.85 people.

19.7% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 19.8% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 31.4% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 48 years. 46.8% of the population were male and 53.2% were female.

The median annual income was $ 32,860, with 19.6% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 93.00% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 7.00%.
