Madeira Beach is a city in Pinellas County in the US state of Florida with 4263 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Madeira Beach is located on a barrier island between the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway on Florida's Gulf Coast. The city is bordered by Redington Beach to the north and Treasure Island to the south . Madeira Beach is around 15 km south of Clearwater and around 35 km southwest of Tampa .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 4263 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 4443 households, most of which are holiday homes used as second homes. The population density was 1578.9 inh / km². 95.4% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.9% as African American , 0.6% as Indians and 1.0% as Asian Americans . 0.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.5% to several ethnic groups. 4.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 33.5% of all households lived in 11.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 46.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 1.85 people and the average family size was 2.45 people.
11.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 16.7% were 20 to 39 years old, 37.6% were 40 to 59 years old, and 34.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 53 years. 51.1% of the population were male and 48.9% were female.
The median annual income was $ 47,336, with 13.9% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 97.61% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 2.39%.
