North Redington Beach is a city in Pinellas County in the US state of Florida with 1417 inhabitants (as of 2010).

geography

North Redington Beach is located on a barrier island between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway . The city is bordered by Redington Shores to the north and Redington Beach to the south . North Redington Beach is about 10 km south of Clearwater and about 35 km west of Tampa .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 1417 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 1442 households, most of which are holiday homes used as second homes. The population density was 1771.3 inh / km². 97.5% of the population identified themselves as whites, 0.4% as African American , 0.1% as Indians and 0.8% as Asian Americans . 0.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.6% to several ethnic groups. 3.0% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 52.2% of all households lived in 11.1% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 57.2% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 1.90 people and the average family size was 2.41 people.

11.0% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 7.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 30.5% were 40 to 59 years old, and 51.1% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 60 years. 45.9% of the population were male and 54.1% were female.

The median annual income was $ 71,007, with 7.3% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 93.89% of the population, 2.70% spoke Italian and 3.41% had another mother tongue.
