Frank Thiel (actor)

Frank Thiel Rasmussen (born July 24, 1970 in Kolding , Denmark ) is a Danish actor .

Life

Frank Thiel grew up in the municipality of Sønder Bjert . He completed his acting studies at the Statens Scenekunstskole in Copenhagen in 1999 . In the following year he was on stage at Det Kongelige Teater with Den vægelsindede and in 2001 with Brødrene Løvehjerte at Det Danske Teater. His greatest success to date was in 2007 on the theater stage, when he was awarded the renowned Danish theater prize Reumert as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Hjem, kære hjem .

Thiel has played regularly in Danish films since 2000. He was seen in Kletter-Ida , Anna Pihl - On patrol in Copenhagen and Timetrip - The Curse of the Viking Witch, among others. For his portrayal of Kristian in Pernille Fischer Christensen's award-winning drama En Soap , he was nominated for the renowned Robert Film Award in 2007 for Best Supporting Actor.

Thiel was in a relationship with actress Anne Steensgaard for 11 years, with whom he has three children.
